First couple paragraphs. The language is delicious. Congruent with the reader's pace of verbal perception. Rathe long spells with no verbs. Predicates hidden in syntax. Direct speech indicated not by punctuation but by intrinsic tempo and vocabluary. Language almost equals cognition and Weltanshauung. He says a thing and that thing goes into being.
